Job summary

Allianz Life in Minneapolis is seeking a Director, Managing Actuary to guide the Actuarial Modeling and Application Development Functions, overseeing financial statement modeling for IFRS and statutory reporting and asset-liability management.

You will drive modernization, apply AI/ML to actuarial processes, manage a team of actuaries and technologists, and collaborate with senior management to set strategic plans. The role offers relocation assistance and a competitive total rewards package.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of experience in the actuarial field with some experience managing teams.
• Four-year degree required in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• Achieved FSA and authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic initiatives for incorporating emerging technologies in actuarial technology framework.
• Identify innovations to enhance actuarial processes and maintain industry leadership.
• Guide Actuarial Modeling Function on financial statement modeling and IFRS/STAT reporting.
• Oversee Application Development Function supporting actuarial technology ecosystem.
• Leverage AI/ML for data analysis, modeling, and decision-making.
• Direct work of actuaries and technology professionals and support career development.
• Engage stakeholders to communicate value of technological advancements.
