Job summary

The Newport Group - Executive Recruiters is assisting a for-profit affordable housing developer to hire a Director of LIHTC Acquisitions in Los Angeles. This role focuses on sourcing ground-up, 4% LIHTC opportunities and moving them through feasibility, underwriting and closing.

You will build and leverage relationships with landowners, brokers and development partners, own the acquisitions pipeline and guide deals to successful closing.

Qualifications

• Must have LIHTC experience and a track record in acquisitions.
• Strong site-sourcing capabilities and a broad network of owners, brokers, and development partners.
• Experience evaluating sites, underwriting opportunities, negotiating transactions, and coordinating with development teams.

Director of LIHTC Acquisitions | Los Angeles

Our client, a for-profit affordable housing developer, is seeking a Director of LIHTC Acquisitions to source and pursue sites for ground-up, new-construction affordable housing using 4% LIHTC financing.

We’re looking for someone with a strong track record of originating opportunities, building relationships with landowners and brokers, evaluating development feasibility, and moving deals through the acquisition process.

Ideal background:

• Acquisitions or origination experience with a for-profit affordable housing developer, with a focus on ground-up 4% LIHTC projects.
• Strong site-sourcing capabilities and an established network of owners, brokers, and development partners.
• Experience evaluating sites, underwriting opportunities, negotiating transactions, and coordinating with development teams.

Relevant experience may fall under Investments, Business Development, Acquisitions & Development, New Business, or Development titles.

We’re also interested in speaking with land and multifamily brokers who already source sites for affordable housing developers and would consider moving in-house.
