Job summary

PACS, a healthcare organization in the United States, is seeking an Accounts Payable Director to lead a diverse team of about 25 in-person and remote staff. You will guide the department, ensure timely payments, and maintain strong vendor relationships across facilities nationwide.

The role requires excellent leadership, AP expertise, and advanced Excel skills, with a focus on process improvement, month-end close support, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Leadership and interpersonal skills essential for directing a diverse AP team.
• Experience supervising Accounts Payable staff, including managers and supervisors.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Vendor payment and vendor management experience is required.
• Strong analytical abilities to investigate issues and ensure accurate coding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and train Accounts Payable Managers, Supervisors, and team members.
• Ensure excellent customer service for staff and nursing facilities nationwide.
• Communicate effectively with service providers.
• Respond to facility and vendor inquiries.
• Assist with Month End Close preparation.
• Analyze expenditures for accurate coding per reporting requirements.
• Develop AP processes and documentation for data input and reporting.
• Oversee multiple projects and initiatives as the department grows.
• Additional duties as assigned.

We are looking for a highly motivated Accounts Payable Director to supervise and oversee our Accounts Payable team. We are seeking a candidate with experience leading a diverse team who will excel in a fast-paced environment. Duties include team direction and supervision, problem resolution, coordinationwith skilled nursing facilities, and other applicable accounts payable duties.

This position oversees ~25 people that are both in-person and remote. A successful candidate will be able to guidethe departmentwhile working with vendors, including utilityand service providers, to maintain order and efficiency in a large organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and trainAccounts PayableManagers, Supervisors, and team members
• Ensure excellent customer service is provided to the staff and nursing homes we serve nationwide
• Communicate effectively with service providers
• Respond to facility and vendor inquiries
• Assist with Month End Close preparation
• Analyze expenditures for accurate coding in accordance with cost reporting requirements
• Develop accounts payableprocessesand documents to support the input and handling of financial data and reports
• Oversee and own various projects and initiatives as the company and department continue to grow
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Management experience, preferably in AP
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills a must
• Vendorpayment andmanagement experience
• Accounting or Finance education/experience
• Quick learner, task-oriented, self-motivated and hardworking
• Well-organized with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete responsibilities and projects on time
• Strong analytical skills to investigate and resolve issues and inquiries
