Job summary

Gracelight Community Health seeks a Director of Accounting to lead core accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive automation across the department. The role reports to the CFO and focuses on month-end close, internal controls, and accurate financial reporting.

You will supervise the accounting team, optimize Sage Intacct configurations, and partner with IT and Grants Management to deliver timely dashboards and financial statements for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible accounting leadership experience.
• Experience implementing or optimizing ERP systems, preferably Sage Intacct.
• Strong proficiency with GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to lead a technology-enabled accounting team.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Overses full accounting cycle including general ledger integrity and reconciliations.
• Leads month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy.
• Manages accounts payable, purchasing, and procurement controls.
• Partners with IT to implement automation and ERP enhancements.
• Prepares GAAP-compliant financial statements and reports.
• Supports audits and regulatory reporting (forms 990, grants reporting).
• Leads staff development and performance management.
