McKinstry is seeking a Director, Accounting Operations to lead Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable in Seattle, WA. You will drive operational performance, working capital, internal controls, and scalable service delivery for the Accounting Operations team.

As a member of the Controller organization, you’ll develop leaders, strengthen governance, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve cash flow and business results. Bachelor's + CPA required; 10+ years accounting leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field; CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting, finance operations, or shared services leadership experience.
• 5+ years as a manager of people leaders overseeing large transactional accounting teams.
• Public accounting audit experience preferred, with exposure to internal controls, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, project-based accounting operations, and billing workflows.

Responsabilités

• Lead Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations (billing, collections, cash application, vendor management, payments).
• Set KPIs, service levels, and operating rhythms to drive performance and working capital improvements.
• Translate business requirements into processes, controls, and readiness plans for scalable operations.
• Lead resolution of issues impacting cash flow, controls, and vendor/customer experience.
• Provide leadership for ERP implementation and ongoing updates, including testing, training, and go-live support.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing Accounting Operations team; build succession plans and governance.
