Estes Forwarding Worldwide, LLC seeks a Director of Accounting in Richmond, VA to lead high-volume AP, AR, billing, and cash application. This role partners with finance, operations, and IT to drive process improvements and scalable growth, while maintaining strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in accounting leadership, with hands-on Dynamics 365 BC expertise and a track record of building strong teams.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in accounting operations (AP, AR, cash application).
• Hands-on expertise with Dynamics 365 BC and related reporting.
• Proven ability to mentor and scale high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct AP/AR/cash application teams to ensure accurate processing.
• Establish KPIs and SLAs to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
• Optimize workflows via automation and system enhancements.
• Oversee application of customer payments and resolve discrepancies.
• Enforce internal controls and collections strategies to minimize bad debt.
• Lead and develop accounting staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
