Job summary

Estes Forwarding Worldwide (EFW), a Richmond-based freight forwarder, seeks a Director of Accounting to lead high-volume AP/AR, billing, cash application, and payment processing. You will optimize procure-to-pay and order-to-cash, strengthen internal controls, and partner with finance, operations, and IT to scale processes.

Minimum a Bachelor's degree and 5 years in accounting; proven leadership in fast-paced environments; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
• 5+ years in accounting leadership roles, preferably in high-volume environments.
• Experience with ERP systems and internal control enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Direct the strategic operations of AP, AR, billing, cash application, and payments.
• Optimize procure-to-pay and order-to-cash processes and drive process improvements.
• Establish KPIs and SLAs to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead and develop a 1-7 person accounting team and mentor staff.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT on system integrations and scaling.
