Job summary

RubinBrown Executive Recruiting is partnering with a well-respected St. Louis organization to identify a Director of Accounting. This role will lead all accounting and finance activities, drive strategic initiatives, and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.

A CPA is preferred and a strong, proactive leader is essential. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in a mid-size setting, exceptional communication, and a hands-on leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Experience as a Director, Accounting Manager, or Controller/Assistant Controller.
• Professional services industry experience preferred.
• Strong relationship building and team empowerment skills.
• Experience across accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting and forecasting.
• GAAP knowledge.
• Hands-on leadership style favored.
• CPA (active or inactive) preferred.
• Effective and positive team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and finance processes and operations.

• Budgeting and forecasting across the organization.
