Job summary

RubinBrown Executive Recruiting is seeking an interim CFO/VP of Finance for a mission-driven nonprofit in St. Louis, MO. This role provides strategic direction and daily oversight of accounting and finance processes, joining the executive team to drive critical decisions.

Candidates should have a degree in accounting or finance, 10+ years of progressive leadership, CPA and public accounting a plus, and nonprofit/NFP experience preferred. Hybrid work arrangement with possible perm opportunity.

A very mission-driven organization, in St. Louis, is searching for an interim CFO/VP of Finance to join their executive team and help lead their accounting/finance processes. They plan for this professional to come on board, complement their leadership team and provide them with the strategic direction, and daily oversight, that they need. This is a very unique opportunity that will allow the right professional to make an immediate impact on a wonderful organization!!

For this opportunity, candidates will need to be degreed in accounting/finance, have 10+ years of progressive experience to accounting/finance leadership roles, a CPA and public accounting experience is a plus, experience in the non-profit/NFP industry is highly preferred. Candidates need to be pro-active, approachable and a positive leader.

You Will Be Engaged In:

• Experience in the non-profit/NFP industry is highly preferred


• Experience to include accounting, finance, cash/treasury, banking, strategic planning


• Must enjoy being in a hybrid role that combines hands-on and strategic duties
