Our client, a late-stage, venture-backed software company based in San Jose, California, is looking to hire a Director of Accounting to lead the month-end close, build out the accounting function, support international accounting and consolidations, and implement process efficiencies.

This role is an on-site, in the office in San Jose, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the close processes, shortening the close cycle and adhering to deadlines
• Own international accounting and consolidation of multiple foreign entities
• Develop a reporting calendar
• Implement accounting policies and processes to support internal controls compliance
• Collaborate with outsourced accounting partners and external auditors
• Manage a growing accounting team
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and leadership roles at high-growth software/SaaS companies
• Strong proficiency in NetSuite, including system administration and optimization.
• Experience in accounting for foreign subsidiaries
• Experience building and scaling accounting processes
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team development skills.
