Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Director, Scientific and Operations Intelligence, Obesity, to own the non-commercial Obesity Insights & Analytics agenda across R&D, Medical, Clinical Development, and Operations. You will partner with senior leaders to frame questions, mobilize data and experts, and deliver clear recommendations for Obesity leadership.

The role requires building a long-term team, operating model, and governance across global functions.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 4 years of experience in Business ie. Marketing, Sales, Medical, and/or Analytics Functions OR
• Master’s degree and 8 years of experience in Business ie. Marketing, Sales, Medical, and/or Analytics Functions OR
• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience in Business ie. Marketing, Sales, Medical, and/or Analytics Functions

Responsibilities

• Anchor priorities to a clear question, decision date, decision owner, and value at stake; ensure insights translate into decisions and action.
• Lead agile problem-solving across scientific and operations remit, focusing on high-priority needs.
• Define the decision and hypotheses; mobilize data and experts; synthesize findings; recommend action; track impact.
• Build reusable decision products and analytical capabilities (models, dashboards, risk indicators) and apply AI where it adds value.

Education
