Job summary

Vanderbilt University—New York City campus is seeking a Director of Corporate Partnerships to build and sustain strategic partnerships with business and industry. The role focuses on securing investments via student and alumni hiring, co-marketing, executive education, and sponsored programs.

The successful candidate will serve as the primary interface for a portfolio of strategic partner companies, coordinating with Vanderbilt programs to solve business needs and drive revenue while advancing

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related professional work experience.
• Experience implementing and scaling Salesforce or similar CRM.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with good judgement.
• Ability to operate in a rigorous academic environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to priorities.
• Professional demeanor with tact and judgement in interactions with executives.
• Demonstrated ability to work with high-level executives.

• Experience building relationships in the NYC business community.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and manage a portfolio of strategic external partnerships to drive revenue and engagement.
• Develop client account plans and forge value-added relationships to meet partner objectives.
• Collaborate across university units to align opportunities with partner needs.
• Lead internal programs to increase visibility and opportunities for industry engagement.
• Capture data and produce regular progress reports for leadership.
