Job summary

CHEER, Inc. seeks a leadership professional to plan and direct the Nutrition Program, ensuring compliance with regulations and efficient operation.

The role oversees congregate and homebound meals, staff supervision, and program development, requiring strategic oversight and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include hiring, training, budgeting, policy development, and coordinating with RD professionals to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Foods and Nutrition, Food Service, Dietary Sciences, or Hotel & Restaurant Management; SERV Safe Certification or 5+ years commercial food service experience.
• Two years purchasing/ordering experience with supervisory background.
• Ability to travel to CHEER locations and supervise multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the Nutrition Program operating effectively.
• Ensure resources are used properly and policies followed.
• Interview, hire, train staff; set priorities; appraise performance; address issues.
• Oversee congregate and homebound meals and senior center activities.
• Supervise center managers and staff; develop policies and procedures manuals.
• Coordinate meetings with site staff and program directors; participate in trainings.
