Job summary
VCU Health's Nursing Research Program Director leads the Office of Nursing Research and Evidence Based Practice, directing activities and providing expert consultation to advance nursing research and evidence-based practice for Patient Care Services. The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across disciplines.
You will oversee strategic initiatives, drive dissemination of clinically-based research findings, and ensure alignment with educational backgrounds and credentials
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in Virginia (or eligible for licensure)
- Five (5) years of nursing practice, education, or research experience
- Experience conducting clinically-based research and disseminating findings via publications and presentations
- Experience leading interdisciplinary teams and mentoring
- Ability to work with diverse educational and cultural backgrounds
Responsibilities
- Directs and manages activities of the Office of Nursing Research and Evidence Based Practice
- Oversees strategic initiatives and provides expert consultation related to nursing research and evidence-based practice for Patient Care Services
- Supervises assigned personnel
- Compensation range discussions and alignment with credential requirements as part of program leadership duties
