Qualifications

• Masters degree in nursing or related field preferred.
• Current California RN license to practice.
• Certification in rehabilitation nursing strongly preferred.
• 10+ years nursing experience including 5 years management with fiscal and quality care responsibility.
• Demonstrated research, program development, and implementation skills.
• Strong oral and written communication; teaching experience preferred.
• Interpersonal skills to lead across staff levels.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Administrative Director to guide inpatient nurse managers in operations, quality improvement, staffing and budgets.
• Maintain nursing division philosophy, standards, policies and procedures.
• Develop goals for Nursing staff and mentor managers to meet them.
• Define nursing roles and ensure education through orientation and staff development.
• Identify patient education processes and materials with program leaders.
• Provide statistical reports for analysis, planning and decision making.
• Guide budgeting and cost-containment by nurse managers and Flex Staff.
• Review and revise programs for productivity, cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Serve as a nursing resource across departments and programs.
• Recommend investments in new technologies/equipment.
• Recruit and onboard nurse managers and key nursing staff.
• Participate in SRAlab/ABMC committees as assigned.
• Perform other duties for the organization.
