Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Director of Nursing - Inpatient Medical/Surgical at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL. This full-time role leads nursing practice, education, and quality patient care within assigned areas.

The role requires a BSN with a Master's degree (MSN/MBA or related), CPR, and five years of healthcare management experience. Board certification is preferred; travel between Endeavor facilities is limited to internal coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and a master’s degree in nursing, MBA, or other healthcare related discipline required.
• Board certification preferred. CPR certification required.
• Five years of progressive healthcare management required. Proven success with program planning and leading in a collaborative model.
• Strong computer skills and excellent communication skills; experience in managing programs and staff to enhance quality and control costs.

Hourly Pay Range: $63.65 - $98.66 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Details

Position: Director, Nursing - Inpatient Medical/Surgical

Location: Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview, IL

Contract: Full time

Required Travel: Between Endeavor Entities

Responsibilities

Accountability and responsibility for professional nursing practice, nursing education, nursing leadership and quality patient care in their assigned areas. Responsible for collaborating with numerous ancillary support departments, physicians and administration to achieve identified outcomes of care and quality patient care.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and a master’s degree in nursing, MBA, or other healthcare related discipline required.
• Certification: Board certification preferred. CPR certification required.
• Experience: Five years of progressive healthcare management required. Proven success working with program planning, complex problem solving, and moving nursing practice forward in a collaborative model.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Experience in managing programs and staff to enhance quality, control cost, maintained a customer focus, and effectively lead a group of managers and clinical staff. Must have strong computer skills (MS Office Applications) and excellent communication skills.
