Position Overview

The Director provides daily operational administration for nursing and patient care in the Behavioral Health Center at Westchester Medical Center. Responsibilities include supervising, coordinating, and directing administrative aspects of assigned service lines, recommending improvements to clinical practice, and managing staff and resources.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and coordinate nursing and patient care operations.
  2. Participate in evaluating nursing and clinical practices through peer review.
  3. Establish standards of practice in collaboration with professional standards.
  4. Determine staff qualifications and coordinate staff development and education programs.
  5. Participate in staff evaluations, labor-management conferences, and quality improvement activities.
  6. Assist in budget development and resource allocation.
  7. Attend relevant meetings, conferences, and seminars.
Qualifications
