Job summary

Commonpoint seeks a Program Director for Older Adult Services to lead and grow the NNORC WOW Supportive Services Program across Floral Park, New Hyde Park, and Bellerose, Queens. You will supervise a multidisciplinary team and ensure quality services aligned with funder standards.

The role requires an MSW and 5+ years of management experience in aging services, with strong community outreach and collaboration to enhance participant engagement and outcomes.

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited program and NY LMSW license.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive program management in aging services.
• SIFI certified or eligible and willing to obtain certification.
• Experience supervising multidisciplinary staff.
• Strong knowledge of older adult services, benefits, and referrals.
• Ability to travel between sites and occasionally evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall leadership and day-to-day oversight of NNORC WOW program.
• Supervise, support, and evaluate administrative staff, social workers, interns, and volunteers.
• Meets with potential members to assess needs and provide case assistance.
• Ensures compliance with funding sources and internal policies.
• Completes reports and uses dashboards to guide programming and quality.
• Develops outreach strategies to grow the program and engage diverse populations.
• Builds relationships with community partners and local stakeholders.
• Facilitates quarterly Senior Advisory/Partners Board meetings.
• Plans monthly and bi-monthly calendars of events for distribution.
• Participates in department meetings and budget/grant activities.
• Assists with budget development, grant writing and renewals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
