Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Director, New Solutions Development to lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of customer-facing solutions for health systems, retail pharmacies and other trade classes. You will drive governance, portfolio optimization, and go-to-market execution with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
12+ years of experience in product development, product management, product marketing or a closely-related field preferred.
Experience developing customer-facing solutions for health systems, retail pharmacies or related trade.
Experience managing solutions portfolios with governance, prioritization and optimization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Set the strategic direction for the New Solutions Development function and communicate it across commercial teams.
Lead development initiatives from ideation through launch and post-launch optimization.
Own the stage-gate process and lifecycle management framework for portfolio governance.
Develop and manage a pipeline of new solution ideas balancing innovation, capacity and ROI.
Analyze market trends andVoice of Customer results to identify opportunities to expand the portfolio.
Define technical requirements with IT and ensure alignment with market needs and business objectives.
Partner with marketing and sales to ensure go-to-market readiness and customer adoption.
Drive financial commitments and business cases for new solutions, tracking revenue growth and cost savings.
Monitor performance of programs and optimize or rationalize the portfolio as needed.
Enable transitions of new solutions to operational owners as initiatives mature.
