Job summary

TDS Telecom seeks a Director of Network Service Management and Operations (NSMO) COE to lead strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of systems enabling end-to-end network service delivery. You will own technology capabilities translating network infrastructure into customer-facing services with a focus on automation and operational excellence.

The role requires cross-functional leadership, overseeing provisioning, activation, service assurance, and inventory accuracy while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) or 4+ years professional work experience.
• 8+ years’ experience with increasing levels of responsibility in application development and/or technology management.
• 4+ years’ experience leading projects.
• 5+ years management/supervisory experience.
• Industry experience in a communications company, IT products company, or IT consultancy.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively to business leaders.
• Proven leadership ability with attracting and retaining top technical talent.
• Proven ability to interact with peers to develop near-term and long-term strategies.
• Proven ability to engender an innovation culture.
• Established career in motivating and energizing talented IT professionals, while assuring a disciplined method of delivery low-defect software.
• Experience with operating systems, database systems, integration services, application communication protocols, and programming technologies.

Responsibilities

• Technology Leadership: Oversee performance of multiple managers and their teams, align with stakeholders, and guide strategy and planning.
• Technical Execution: Ensure delivery and support of applications/technologies; enforce security, lifecycle management, and best practices.
• Vendor Management: Manage third-party resources, vendor selection, performance oversight, and adherence to standards.
• Demonstration of Business Value: Align technology initiatives with business priorities to deliver measurable value and manage risks.
