Job summary

Cboe is seeking a Director of Network Automation & Tooling to lead a cross-functional team building a centralized agentic platform that scales operations, security, and telemetry globally. You will shape strategy, architecture, and hands-on execution across Kubernetes, Ansible, and AI tooling to drive 10x capacity growth.

You will partner with engineering and security leaders to implement guardrails, drive innovation with Claude Code, and ensure scalable, reliable automation across the network

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience building and scaling automation teams.
• Deep production experience with cloud-native infrastructure and container orchestration.
• Hands-on fluency in Python scripting and API-driven integration.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year automation and agentic AI strategy across network, security, and telemetry.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers and SMEs.
• Partner with executives to secure funding, governance, and roadmap alignment.
• Oversee configuration management, drift detection, and automated upgrade workflows at scale.
• Ensure observability, alerting, and incident response are aligned with business goals.
• Promote responsible-AI practices and guardrails in autonomous actions.
