Job summary

Feeding America, based in Chicago, seeks a Director of Community Engagement focused on Native & Tribal communities. You will develop and implement strategies to deepen partnerships with national and regional groups serving communities of color, particularly Native and Tribal nations, to advance food security and systemic change.

You will manage partnerships, collaborate cross-functionally on advocacy and grants, and represent the organization at events and forums.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience with community-based organizations, government officials, or related partners.
• Ability to build trusting partnerships with diverse organizations.
• Experience in leadership roles within complex operating environments.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes a national Native & Tribal community engagement strategy.
• Manages a portfolio of partners and identifies new collaborations to address food insecurity.
• Collaborates with teams to support grant-making and strengthen local food systems.
• Represents Feeding America at conferences and convenings.
• Leads learning initiatives and coordinates webinars on Native/Tribal topics.
