Job summary

United Therapeutics Corporation seeks a Lung Bioengineering (LBE) National Transplant Accounts Director to cultivate payer access and reimbursement strategies. This role is home-based across the Continental US with about 60% travel, partnering with transplant administrators, payers, and cross-functional teams to secure favorable coverage for LBE services and products.

The position requires 10+ years in organ operations or healthcare services with payer focus, strong contract and negotiation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 10+ years in organ operations or healthcare with payer access focus or 8+ years with a Master’s degree.
• 5+ years in transplant administration, managed care, marketing, and business case development.
• Executive presentation experience and ability to build strong business relationships.
• Expertise in transplant reimbursement dynamics and payer contracting.
• Strong data gathering/interpretation for executive leadership; cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with transplant administration, payer stakeholders, and networks.
• Negotiate transplant center and OPO contracts in coordination with leadership and legal teams.
• Provide reimbursement and coverage education to transplant centers, administrators, and providers.
• Maintain customer data in CRM and SAP; serve as invoicing contact for finance.
• Lead meetings with stakeholders to discuss business cases, performance, opportunities, and trends.
• Develop strategic plans and present to payers to improve device access and coverage.
• Collaborate with Liaisons and cross-functional teams to align payer initiatives and execution.
• Travel as required to support national operations and field engagements.
