Amtrak is seeking a strategic Director Portfolio Management - National to lead program development from concept to execution planning for the System Portfolio. You will drive scope, schedule, and budget while aligning with stakeholders across IMCS Central/West, Empire Line and Safety Upgrades.

You will oversee budgets, resource allocations and risk management, collaborating with Engineering, construction teams and federal/state partners to secure funding and successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.
• 11 years prior relevant experience required.
• 13+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• PMP Certification and LEAD or equivalent leadership training are desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead development, administration and execution of budgets for assigned programs.
• Assign people and resources to project teams to deliver on schedule and budget.
• Direct procurement, scope, and delivery strategy with engineering and construction teams.
• Coordinate with Federal Railroad Administration, state partners and other stakeholders to support delivery.
• Monitor schedules, costs and risks; communicate status to stakeholders.
• Oversee bid negotiations and consultant relationships to protect scope and quality.
