Job summary

The National Consumer Law Center is seeking a Director of Conferences and Training to lead national conferences and training workshops for lawyers and advocates. This role manages timelines, budgets, and a cross-organization team co-produced with NACA, including on-site supervision of hotels, venues, and staff.

Based in Boston, DC, or remote with a preference for in-office work at least two days weekly in Boston; the position reports to the Chief Development Officer and drives strategy,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and CMP certification; Certificate in Meeting Management preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years conference management experience, including in-person and virtual events.
• Strong leadership, project management, and budgeting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-organization conference planning team of 10 staff.
• Negotiate hotel contracts and manage on-site logistics.
• Oversee conference budgets, reporting, and vendor relations.
• Coordinate training workshops and webinars, and engagement opportunities.
• Develop conference marketing materials and sponsorships.
