First Merchants Bank is seeking a Director, Secondary Market to lead all secondary market and portfolio mortgage activities, including post-closing. You will set pricing strategies, manage investor relationships, and drive profitability while balancing risk and operational efficiency.

You will monitor market conditions, analyze performance, and present data-informed recommendations to mortgage leadership. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, management, or related field.
• Minimum five years in mortgage secondary marketing, mortgage banking, or related area.
• Knowledge of secondary market operations, pricing, investor requirements, and loan-sale execution.
• Ability to present strategic, data-informed recommendations to senior leadership.
• Strong analytical and financial decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for secondary market and portfolio mortgage activities.
• Monitor economic conditions, interest-rate trends, and housing market activity.
• Analyze performance and provide data-informed recommendations to leadership.
• Sell mortgage loans to approved investors and manage investor relationships.
• Oversee pricing strategies and mortgage pricing engine updates.
• Develop reports and forecasts for mortgage leadership.
