Job summary

Equitable Facilities Fund (EFF) seeks a Director to manage lending activities for high-impact charter schools and to develop sound investment recommendations. The role balances credit quality with social impact, guiding a growing loan portfolio and leading cross‑functional initiatives with other directors and senior leaders.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of relevant lending or finance experience, a BA/BS in business or finance, and a track record of due diligence, analytics, and collaboration

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant professional experience in lending, CDFI lending, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
• Unwavering commitment to EFF’s mission to address educational, financial, and racial inequities.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through work, volunteering, or board service.
• Experience conducting financial, operational, and programmatic due diligence of charter schools.
• Strong quantitative and financial modeling and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 25–35% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Deal Analysis and Underwriting: structure, underwrite, and prepare 10–12 transactions annually for Credit Committee approval.
• Process and Relationship Management: be the primary school contact during underwriting and coordinate with teams.
• Systems Development: lead ongoing development of systems and procedures including AI.
• Organizational Excellence: participate in strategic planning and cross-functional team-building.
• Special Projects: lead or support projects, including representing EFF at conferences.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
