Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Director Mission Assurance 2 to lead the Quality and Mission Assurance organization for the Weapons Systems Division. Roles may be located at Northridge, CA; Mesa, AZ; Plymouth, MN; Elkton, MD; or Rocket Center, WV.

The position demands strong leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities in a dynamic engineering and production environment, with accountability to executive leadership and the customer organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years related experience or Master’s with 8+ years.
• Active US Clearance (Secret or higher).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a leader, manager, or team lead.

Responsibilities

• Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success.
• Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products and services meeting contractual requirements and objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement of people, products, processes, and systems using lean, six-sigma, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain mission assurance programs and ensure compliance with standards and guidelines.
• Provide guidance interpreting policies and regulatory requirements to assure compliance.
• Foster an inclusive, motivated, and engaged work culture.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure inspections and audits are conducted.
