Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems is seeking a Director Mission Assurance 2 to lead the Quality and Mission Assurance organization for the Weapons Systems Division. The role can be located in Northridge, CA; Mesa, AZ; Plymouth, MN; Elkton, MD; or Rocket Center, WV.

The Selected Candidate will define and monitor mission assurance programs, ensure on-time delivery, and drive continuous improvement in processes and products within a dynamic engineering and production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of related experience, OR a Master’s degree and 8+ years of related experience.
• Related experience includes aircraft, aerospace, manufacturing, quality, program management, engineering, or business management.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a leader or manager.
• Active US Clearance (Secret or higher).

Responsibilities

• Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes.
• Ensures on-time delivery of high-quality products and services.
• Drives continuous improvement using lean principles and six-sigma projects.
• Develops and maintains mission assurance programs and ensures compliance.
• Provides guidance on policies and agency regulations to assure compliance.
• Leads an inclusive, engaged work culture.
• Works with engineering and manufacturing to ensure inspections and audits are conducted.
