Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems is seeking a Director Mission Assurance 2 to lead the Quality and Mission Assurance organization for the Weapons Systems Division. Locations include Northridge, CA; Mesa, AZ; Plymouth, MN; Elkton, MD; or Rocket Center, WV.

The Selected Candidate will oversee mission assurance programs, policy compliance, and continuous improvement in a dynamic engineering and production environment, reporting to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years related experience OR Master’s with 8+ years.
• At least 5 years of leadership/managerial experience.
• Active US Secret or higher clearance.

Responsabilités

• Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs.
• Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products and services meeting contractual requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of people, products, processes, systems and services using lean, six-sigma and best practices.
• Develop and maintain mission assurance programs, policies and procedures to meet standards and guidelines.
• Provide guidance interpreting policies and regulatory requirements to assure compliance.
• Provide leadership that fosters an inclusive, motivated work culture.
• Support development phase by ensuring engineering products and processes conform to requirements.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing to ensure inspections and audits are conducted regularly.
• Ensure Quality/Mission Assurance, Manufacturing and Engineering align with AS9100 and QMS standards.
• Oversee factory accountability and supplier quality management with GSC leaders.
• Review trend metrics and root-cause/corrective actions to improve performance.
