Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of administrative oversight and supervising staff.
• BLS level C certification and NPR status required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care for birthing patients and newborns.
• Collaborate with operational, nursing, and provider leadership to facilitate Birth Center operations.
• Execute directives while managing pressures of a multi-faceted healthcare setting.
• Develop and refine clinical processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead QA initiatives.
• Foster a High Reliability Organization (HRO) safety culture with proactive reporting and learning.
• Manage scheduling, recruitment, compliance, evaluation and development for CNMs and NPs across sites.
• Partner with leadership to optimize utilization and productivity of CNMs and NPs with benchmarks.

CHA is seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse-Midwife Director to join our team.At CHA, our Certified Nurse-Midwives provide compassionate, personalized care for people throughout every stage of pregnancy, birth, and beyond. CHA Midwives are an essential part of our medical staff, working closely with our Ob/Gyn, Family Medicine and Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians, and our award-winning maternity care team. This role offers an expansive scope of clinical and administrative responsibilities leading a multidisciplinary team across our clinics, birth center, and hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, compassionate, and personalized care for birthing patients and newborns.
• Collaborate with operational, nursing, and provider leadership to facilitate strategic vision and Birth Center operations.
• Execute directives while managing the inherent pressures of a multi-faceted, high-volume healthcare setting.
• Develop and refine clinical processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Foster a robust High Reliability Organization (HRO) safety culture, prioritizing proactive reporting, transparency, and continuous learning.
• Manage scheduling, recruitment, compliance, evaluation and development for CNMs and Nurse Practitioners across OBGYN clinical sites.
• Partner with operational leadership to serve as a resource for the utilization and productivity of CNMs and NPs, including identifying benchmarks to evaluate performance.

Qualifications:

• Candidates will have a master’s degree, are registered nurse licensed, obtained certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board, and ideally have 5 years of experience providing full scope midwifery care as a certified nurse-midwife. Birth center experience preferred as well as experience with newborns.
• Current Basic Life Support “C” certification and NPR status is required. Bilingual skills are preferred but not required. However, a commitment to caring for everyone, every time is essential.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience of administrative oversight, managing fiscal responsibilities, and supervising staff.
• Demonstrated success in operational roles is highly desirable, with a preference for candidates who possess strong experience in clinical operations management.

Salary range is $184,00 to $310,000 based on a candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
