The Director of Merchant Operations at PayTrace will oversee and optimize the daily operations related to merchant relationships, ensuring a seamless and efficient process across onboarding, support, and performance management of the entire portfolio. This leadership role requires strong expertise in operational strategy, merchant services, data analysis, and team management to enhance merchant satisfaction, improve operational efficiencies, and drive overall growth. The role will oversee PayTrace’s Sales Operations teams and collaborate with other departments to create a superior customer experience.

Responsibilities include:
  • Ownership of Sales Operations: Developing and evolving sales support processes, including merchant and ACH application processes, underwriting, onboarding, activation, post-activation activities, and retention efforts.
  • Operational Strategy and Leadership: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align initiatives with business goals.
  • Process Optimization: Implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve merchant experience, leveraging data-driven insights.
  • Merchant and Partner Relationship Management: Building strong relationships with merchants and partners, addressing issues promptly, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Team Management and Development: Building, leading, and mentoring a high-performing team, establishing performance metrics, and fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Performance Analytics and Reporting: Analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities, and providing insights to leadership.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensuring activities comply with policies and regulations, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Technology and Tools: Working with the technology team to ensure systems meet operational needs and implementing innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or MBA in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years in merchant operations or e-commerce.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and optimizing processes.
  • Proficiency with merchant management systems, CRM, and analytics software.
  • Knowledge of merchant processing components.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
  • Presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including C-level.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000. Compensation varies based on location, experience, and skills. We look forward to discussing your salary expectations and our full rewards package during the interview.
