A leading company in healthcare distribution is searching for a Director of Merchandise Product Category Management. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader to manage complex product categories, drive profitability through innovative solutions, and mentor a talented team. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical market and proven leadership experience. Achieve business objectives while enhancing client relationships and market impact.
This position is responsible for directing a highly complex department and/or product category with significant scope and financial and operational impact. Responsible for the management of the pharmaceutical category and develop the product category strategy in meeting the goals of the organization and its customers across brand, generic, and specialty drug portfolios. Accountable for developing plans that will result in increased sales, market share and/or profitability through product category analysis, strategy development, supplier profitability and contribution, category maintenance and new product launches. Must be the Product Category Expert within the Pharmaceutical Distribution Industry. Acts as a mentor to other PCMs and specialists.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 12 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 5 or more years of management experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
The posted range for this position is $141,755 to $202,886 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
