Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead, coordinate, and oversee all activities within the mechanical engineering discipline. You will focus on business development, sales forecasting, and financial/operational management for the mechanical engineering team.

You will supervise Senior Program Managers and Program Managers, ensure project timelines, and drive data-driven decisions while mentoring staff across the Architecture and Engineering unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• P.E. license is required.
• 15+ years of mechanical engineering PM experience in A/E/C environments.
• Experience with commercial programs such as retail or restaurants.
• 8+ years of supervisory experience.
• MS Office proficiency; AutoCAD and Revit a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical Engineering consulting process and client relationships.
• Drive business development, attend events, and collaborate across offices.
• Oversee initial program investigations to assess feasibility and requirements.
• Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants.
• Manage Senior Program Managers and Program Managers; ensure timelines.
• Analyze data to support decisions and align with KPIs and goals.
• Mentor staff and foster professional growth; perform other duties.
