Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead, coordinate, and oversee all activities, projects, and personnel within the mechanical engineering discipline. You will drive business development, sales forecasting, and the financial and operational management for our mechanical engineering team.

This role can be hybrid or remote near a major airport, with travel up to 35% locally and nationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Licenses: P.E. required.
• 15+ years of mechanical engineering PM/PM experience in A/E/C.
• Experience with commercial programs (retail/restaurants).
• 8+ years of supervisory experience.
• MS Office required; familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Mechanical Engineering consulting process and client relationships.
• Participate in business development via marketing events and cross-office collaboration.
• Oversee initial program investigations to assess feasibility and requirements.
• Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants.
• Manage and provide leadership to Senior PMs and PMs; ensure timelines are met.
• Analyze data to support decision-making and KPI alignment.
• Mentor and develop staff for growth and performance.
