Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead the mechanical engineering discipline within our Architecture and Engineering unit. You will drive client relationships, project delivery, and strategic growth across multiple markets.

The role offers hybrid or remote work near a major airport with up to 35% travel. Strong leadership, PM, and technical skills are essential to advance our client solutions and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• P.E. license is required.
• 15+ years of mechanical engineering PM experience in the A/E/C environment.
• 8+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with commercial programs such as retail or restaurants.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical Engineering consulting process and client relationships.
• Participate in business development and cross-marketing with other offices.
• Oversee program investigations to assess feasibility and requirements.
• Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants.
• Manage Senior Program Managers and Program Managers and ensure timelines.
• Analyze data to support decision-making and KPI alignment.
• Mentor and develop staff to foster growth and performance.
• Other duties as required.
