Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Technology to lead the strategy for manufacturing technology and drive automation, digital manufacturing, and analytics initiatives in its Ohio operations. You will align technology programs with business goals and prioritize Industry 4.0 adoption across plants.

The role requires a strong track record in manufacturing leadership, ERP/MES integration, and delivering tangible improvements in OEE, downtime, and production costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, automation, engineering, or technology leadership roles.
• Experience leading automation, digital transformation, or smart manufacturing initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of ERP and MES integration, Industry 4.0 technologies, and manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic technology roadmap for manufacturing and business goals.
• Assess current manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and software to identify improvements.
• Lead implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies including IoT, predictive maintenance, and real-time monitoring.
• Drive automation initiatives that improve safety, productivity, quality, and cost performance.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and IT to integrate ERP, MES, and manufacturing systems.
• Utilize data analytics to reduce downtime and improve equipment effectiveness.
