Job summary

Charter Steel is seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to helm our Operations Technology, Automation and Controls organization across seven facilities. This role sits at the intersection of operations, strategy and technology, translating business priorities into a clear technology agenda and aligning a capable team around it.

You will partner with plant leaders, set portfolio priorities, and drive disciplined governance, ensuring run-state reliability while investing in future

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing operations or related field.
• Experience leading multi-site teams.
• Ability translating strategy into operating priorities and budgets.
• Strong governance, KPIs and performance management.
• Proven transformation and continuous improvement track record.
• Understanding of plant operations and cross-functional interdependencies.
• Budgets, planning and resource allocation experience.
• Commitment to safety and lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Translate manufacturing strategy into a clear OT/Automation roadmap across seven facilities.
• Serve as the conduit between operations challenges and technical capability.
• Prioritize work and balance growth, risk and reliability.
• Build governance, decisions rights, and performance rhythms.
• Lead transformation toward strategic deployment of manufacturing tech.
• Partner with plant leaders to align technology with shop-floor realities.
• Develop and mentor a leadership team of four managers and ~40 staff.
• Balance run-state reliability with future capability investments.
