Director, Maintenance Operations
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Maintenance Operations to oversee the daily maintenance operations and special projects of HUD-funded buildings within our Senior Housing services. This role is crucial in ensuring that all building and maintenance costs are within budget while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance, while providing leadership to a total staff of over 25 employees. Physical Requirements:
X Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling or standing multiple times a day. Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds
X Climb up and down up to 7 flights of stairs at a time
X Lift up to 50 pounds
X Additional Requirements: Job duties may need to be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to reach in all directions and climb a ladder, when needed.

Directly Supervises: Multi-Building Maintenance Associates
Indirectly Supervises: WIC Maintenance Operations Dept Staff
Education and Experience Requirements:
Relevant Education
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum: High School
Relevant Experience
Preferred: 5+ years in building facilities and 5+ years supervisory experience
Minimum: 3 years in building facilities and 3 years supervisory experience
Proven experience in maintenance operations, preferably within a housing services context desired
Strong leadership and supervisory skills required
Excellent problem-solving and crisis management abilities.
Technical expertise in mechanical systems and related equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Certification/Licensure
Preferred: Related technical Certificate or License
