Job summary

Mercer Advisors Inc. seeks a Director in Business Transitions to grow the practice across target markets. You will work at the intersection of banking, law, and financial planning, translating deal mechanics into actionable planning decisions for business owners and executives.

You will lead deal execution, coordinate with bankers and attorneys, and ensure a smooth handoff to wealth management post-close, with opportunities to travel across the country and build a national referral network.

Qualifications

• 8 to 15 years of experience working directly on M&A transactions.
• Ability to understand deal structure, valuation, and transaction mechanics.
• Willingness to travel within the market and across the country.

Responsibilities

• Work directly on live transactions as the deal side subject matter expert.
• Interface with bankers, attorneys, and accountants to test deal structure.
• Model after tax proceeds in real time as terms evolve.
• Lead handoffs to Mercer advisors at close for seamless transition.
• Develop COI referrals and represent Mercer's deal-credible resources externally.
