Job summary

Cardinal Health, a leading healthcare services and products company, seeks a Director of Corporate Development to drive M&A deal execution and upstream strategic planning. You will work with external stakeholders and cross-functional teams to evaluate, structure, and negotiate potential transactions while guiding venture portfolio strategy.

The role requires exceptional analytical and relationship-building skills in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field preferred. Advanced degree a plus.
• 6+ years’ experience in corporate development, mergers & acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, strategy or finance preferred.
• Direct experience executing M&A transactions from start to finish, including negotiation with Legal, Tax, Accounting, Treasury, etc.
• Direct experience with M&A valuation and financial modeling, capable to lead and coach a team.

Responsibilities

• Deal Strategy: develop business cases for acquisitions with market analysis and investment requirements.
• Due Diligence: identify critical due diligence items impacting modeling assumptions.
• Financial Analysis: build and review financial models and valuation analyses to assess ROI.
• Deal Structuring: collaborate with Tax, Legal, Accounting and Treasury to structure transactions.
• Deal Approval: support communications with Cardinal Health leadership and secure approvals.
• Integration Planning: coordinate integration timing with cross-functional teams.
• Separation Planning: assist in divestiture transition service agreements.
• Compliance and Governance: ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
