Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Director of Infrastructure Software Engineering to lead a technical area within the Electronic Trading Services Platforms. The role focuses on driving impact across teams, technologies, and projects, acting as a primary decision maker and innovator.

You will guide the compute infrastructure strategy, mentor partner teams, and align technical decisions with business goals, delivering scalable solutions for a high-performance trading environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
• Understanding of IPv4 networking, including OSI model, unicast/broadcast/multicast, routing, and network segregation mechanisms
• Extensive experience with Configuration Management, preferably Chef or Ansible
• Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists
• Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
• Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager
• Practical cloud native experience
• Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field

Responsibilities

• Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives
• Work directly with Lines of Business to understand and address their needs and challenges within the compute space within a low-latency Electronic Trading environment
• Direct the strategies for server hardware platform, server/OS tuning and automation, and infrastructure application lifecycle
• Design Authority for the compute infrastructure application stack, including build and configuration management, and log/metric aggregation
• Interface with hardware and software vendors on product roadmaps and to establish the next generation of Electronic Trading Platform infrastructure
• Makes decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
• Carries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations
• Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
• Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams
• Champions the firm's culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
