Job summary

GoodPower seeks a Director, Renewables to own a live portfolio of county engagements from initial contact through hearing, vote, and ordinance outcomes. You will coordinate campaigns, build local support, and drive coalitions across multiple counties with tight timelines.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Renewables, this remote role requires travel, strong writing, stakeholder engagement, and experience with renewable energy siting and policy. Bachelor's degree or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years running state or local political campaigns at scale; renewable energy experience preferred.
• Self-starter with sound judgement, proactive, flexible and solutions-oriented.
• Land-use, siting, or infrastructure approval experience.
• Highly organized with strong systems for managing priorities and deadlines.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills for complex permitting questions.

Responsibilities

• Own a live portfolio of county engagements end to end through hearing and ordinance outcomes.
• Stand up local support committees and maintain activity across approvals.
• Lead campaigns to move counties from moratoria to approved projects.
• Develop guides for engaging officials, stakeholders, and communities on renewables.
• Keep campaign data and reporting up to date for leadership.
