Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Director of Litigation Operations to oversee the operational side of the litigation practice on Long Island. This non-attorney leadership role manages paralegals and support staff, tracks deadlines, and drives workflow improvements.

The role emphasizes ownership of case-management processes, implementation of technology and reporting, and collaboration with firm leadership to enhance efficiency and accountability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in litigation operations, case management, litigation support, senior paralegal management or a comparable legal-management position.
• Strong understanding of the litigation lifecycle from commencement through resolution.
• Experience overseeing substantial case inventories.
• Experience managing or overseeing paralegals, legal assistants, litigation support staff or other legal teams.
• Experience improving case-management processes, workflows and operational performance.
• Strong understanding of litigation deadlines, discovery and case-management requirements.
• Experience with KPIs, reporting, dashboards and/or productivity metrics.
• Strong leadership, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort with legal case-management software, workflow technology and data.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational side of the litigation practice to ensure case progression and deadlines are tracked.
• Lead and manage paralegals and support staff to optimize workflows and accountability.
• Drive process improvements, reporting, and the implementation of technology and AI to increase efficiency.
• Partner with firm leadership and attorneys to align operations with strategic goals.
