Job summary

GuideWell, based in Florida, seeks aDirector-level attorney to manage the enterprise's litigation risk across subsidiaries and affiliates. You will oversee disputes, provide counsel to leadership, and coordinate with outside counsel to defend or prosecute matters within budget.

Candidates must have a JD, Florida bar admission (or eligibility for Authorized House Counsel), and 5+ years of litigation experience with strong written and verbal skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with strong academic record.
• Florida bar admission or eligibility for Authorized House Counsel.
• 5+ years of professional litigation experience.
• Knowledge of health insurance laws, regulations and compliance.
• Experience developing legal strategies and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead litigation risk management for GuideWell and Subsidiaries.
• Manage outside counsel within budget.
• Provide strategic legal advice to senior leadership.
• Serve as legal contact for external stakeholders.
• Review and draft complex legal documents.
• Oversee complex litigation matters and projects.
