Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned analytics leader in Illinois to guide ongoing operations, deliver high-quality client services, and drive data-driven decision-making. You will manage complex data projects, mentor cross-functional teams, and shape new offerings for life sciences clients.

The role requires extensive experience in pharma analytics, strong coding skills, and the ability to lead global teams while ensuring timely, within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or advanced degree with 8 to 10 years of professional experience.
• Experience in the life sciences/pharma industry.
• Strong understanding of pharma commercial functions, including Data Management, Sales Operations, Commercial Analytics, and BI/Reporting.
• Coding skills in SAS, Python, SQL, or similar.
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint and Word.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective leadership, people management, and project management skills.
• Experience as a team leader or people manager.
• Ability to work effectively with others and adapt quickly.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis without current or future employer-sponsored sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership for ongoing operations, process improvements, client requests, and new deliverable transitions.
• Oversee and develop proposals, ensuring methodological soundness and high-quality client services delivered on time and on budget.
• Support project execution and delivery.
• Build and plan complex enhancements to reports, online tools, and data processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on life sciences industry trends and analytical best practices.
• Direct data processing and analytics teams producing executive dashboards, field reports, triggered alerts, and scorecards.
• Use coding to facilitate data processing, analytics, and reporting.
• Grow external client engagements and own client-firm relationships.
• Identify firm growth opportunities and develop action plans, new offerings, best-practice improvements, and practice areas.
• Monitor progress, manage risk, inform stakeholders, and manage project finances including financial summaries, SOWs, and invoices.
• Lead and motivate diverse global teams; train and mentor team members.
• Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
• Support management initiatives including employee engagement, recruiting, training, education, mentorship, and coaching.
