Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Director of Lab Operations to oversee technical laboratory activities at our Lewisville, TX facility. This role focuses on strategic transformation, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance while guiding a high-performing team.

The Director will manage the laboratory budget, drive service metrics, client satisfaction, and staff development, coordinating with multiple internal functions to ensure high-quality health insights delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of lab experience with 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Experience in a regulated industry (FDA/CLIA) with P&L responsibilities.
• Healthcare industry experience highly preferred and valued.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates laboratory activities to meet quality and cost objectives.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, federal, and governmental regulations.
• Develops and trains personnel and reviews performance.
• Establishes organization plans and delegates responsibilities.
• Creates and evaluates new procedures and equipment for potential use.
• Oversees major unit projects for economic advantage of the corporation.
