Job summary

The University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department is seeking a full-time IT Portfolio Manager for a hybrid role in Miami, FL. You will oversee multiple programs and projects, partner with IT PMO leadership, and align portfolio work with strategic priorities and budgets.

You will drive governance, readiness, change control, and portfolio reporting to the Executive Steering Committee, while mentoring project managers and advancing best practices across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience overseeing IT programs and projects.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Financial acumen and budgeting experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement best practices, processes, and toolsets for portfolio/project management.
• Manage the life cycle of cross-department initiatives, investments, programs and projects.
• Collaborate with PMO leadership and executives to align portfolio with strategic goals.
• Provide comprehensive overview of budgets for initiatives in the portfolio.
• Oversee program and project managers; conduct regular portfolio performance reviews.
• Manage change control and risk oversight within the portfolio.
