Job summary

VIA in Somerville, MA is seeking a highly strategic Director of IT Infrastructure & Security to lead our corporate technology and enterprise security operations. You’ll own system architecture, the IT budget, and the team’s technical leadership while pushing toward a proactive, automated tech environment.

This role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass federal background checks, with 7+ years in Corporate IT and Security, and proven audit experience (SOC 2, CJIS, CMMC) including

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass background checks for federal-level compliance data and SCIF facilities.
• 7+ years in Corporate IT, Enterprise Security, and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience guiding audits (SOC 2, CJIS, CMMC); knowledge of FedRAMP.
• Collaborative with UX-minded approach; partner with Design and Engineering.
• Coaching mindset in flat, non-traditional hierarchy.
• Proficiency in security architecture, identity management; admin experience with Jamf, Okta, Google Workspace; familiarity with MDR, SOC integration; AWS and IaC tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship for the IT team.
• Develop and enforce compliance governance for security policies (CJIS, CMMC, SOC 2, FedRAMP).
• Ensure security requirements, IAM, and vulnerability monitoring extend to product platform with DevOps.
• Oversee security operations with external SOC and MDR platforms.
• Lead IT and physical security infrastructure.
• Own IT budget, vendor contracts, and licensing renewals.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for rapid disaster recovery.
• Oversee Okta, Google Workspace, and Jamf across core systems.
