Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh’s Pitt Digital seeks a Director, IT Infrastructure & Operations to lead the combined network and systems operations organization responsible for the University’s infrastructure, including PittNet wired, wireless, telecom, data center services, server virtualization, and cloud infrastructure.

You will guide three Assistant Directors and their teams, drive capacity planning, security enforcement, and 24x7 monitoring, with a hybrid work arrangement across campus

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Analytical and organizational planning skills; proficient IT knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead three Assistant Directors and their functional groups.
• Oversee network architecture, engineering, security enforcement, and capacity planning.
• Direct evaluations of network effectiveness and forecasting/capacity planning.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and protocols.
• Support campus-wide infrastructure services and 24x7 monitoring operations.
